Wanaka Yacht Club is one of the most active clubs in the south. We proudly offer sailing courses for every age and stage between October and April. No membership is required.  For children and youth 9-17 yrs we offer structured after-school lessons in terms 1 and 4 and summer holiday programs with a particular emphasis on fun.  From complete beginner to competent leisure sailor, and many pathways beyond your journey never needs to end! 

Update as of December 2024: we currently have limited teaching resources, please bear with us while we work through our term 1 2025 offerings.

For adults, unfortunately our resources are very limited this year. However we do have a “zero to hero” 4 day course in the New Year.

Sometimes bespoke courses are possible with one of  our friendly coaches.  We are also proud to offer pathways beyond lessons and a whole new world of fun ahead.
